History of Pranic Healing

Pranic Healing has its origin in times immemorial. Our ancient Rishis, Chinese Taoists, Tibetan Monks among others have been using 'Prana' or energy in healing. As an art and science, Pranic Healing was widely practiced in the ancient civilizations of China, Egypt and India. However, the system has been shrouded in mystery, since, it was taught and practised secretively and selectively for fear of misuse. The mystique of "aura" was familiar since ancient times as evident from the fact that portraits of Deities and Saints belonging to almost every race or religion show light surrounding their heads, enveloping their bodies or even emerging from their palms. These are all depictions of energy.
In Pranic Healing, healing is accomplished by removing negative or disease energy from the patient's energy body and transferring fresh prana to the affected areas. Pranic Healing is based on the principle that body has the ability to heal itself. It utilizes life force as fuel to initiate the necessary biochemical changes to make this happen. Using a scientific "no-touch" methodology, Pranic Healing can prevent and heal a whole spectrum of physical, emotional and mental ailments.
Prana means Energy-the vital energy, or life force, which keeps the body alive and healthy. In Greek, it is called Pneuma, in Polynesian, Mana, it is called Ki in Japanese, Chi in Chinese, and Rua in Hebrew. There are three major sources of prana from natural elements: the air, sun and ground. A fourth source is Divine Prana, which is received as a result of meditation and prayer. A Pranic Healing pratitioner learns to draw in prana from all sources listed above and then transmits it to others for healing purposes. It is an invisible energy field or bioplasmic force that surrounds the body. It is more universally known as the "energy body" or "aura". This aura is invisible to the naked eye, though person with clairvoyant abilities is able to see it.

Distant Pranic Healing

Pranic Healing is a revolutionary and comprehensive system of natural healing techniques that utilizes "prana" or vital energy to treat various illnesses. It scientifically integrates the essences of the world's best healing modalities into a simple yet very powerful healing system. Prana is a Sanskrit word meaning "life-force," the invisible bio-energy or vital energy that keeps the body alive and maintains a state of good health.
The two basic principles of Pranic Healing are Cleansing and Energizing. Patients are first cleansed, or the diseased prana is removed from the affected chakras and the vital organs and then they are energised with pure prana. The healer absorbs white prana from air, water, ground, food and trees and passes it to the patient. The recovery time of the patients however varies depending upon the disease as well as the patient's ability to absorb Ki.
There is a principle of resistence associated with every form of energy and life force is no exception. To enable free flow of energy, the resistance has to be minimal.Similarly, the absorption of prana depends upon the receptivity of the person. Thus, for non-believers, the energy will rebound and the patient will either have a very slow recovery rate or remain uncured.

Complexion and the Planets

Your complexion is a barometer of not only your body’s subtle biochemical changes which indicate your health and vitality, but also a very clear expression of your basic character and personality. The different planets at birth as suggested by astrology, each have their own unique colors and depending upon the strength and disposition of these planets at the moment you were born, this will also be reflected in your own complexion coloring. The Sun gives a bright and golden hue to the skin, the Moon and Venus fair complexion with Mars tending to reddishness. Saturn and the North Node will give the greyer and darker complexions, sometimes also tending to very pale or sallow hues. Naturally different ethnic and genetic issues predominate in the coloring and characteristic interpretations as a result. The Asian races obviously have a more yellow tinge to the complexion. Jupiter which is considered yellow/orange in color will dominate in that case, but of course not all Asian born people possessing yellow skin will exhibit the magnanimous and beneficial aspects and tendencies of Jupiter, the ruling planet for this skin tone. In this respect use your discretion and understand that within each race there are fair and dark alike and that the complexion interpretations given hereunder are broad based, to say the least. Yellow Complexion is a marking of the beneficial planet Jupiter and reveals a desire to generously give of yourself emotionally, materially and spiritually. You are the sort of person who shares their resources, even when and if those resources are limited. You have an innate faith in the principle of Karma in which what you share does come back and you tend to live your life on this single, most important premise.

The world of the Pitras loka (ancestral world)

Just as there is biological lineage of transference of DNA along the family line, there is spirit lineage. It is as though there is a spirit DNA as well. Your departed ancestors can help solve the problems. They live in the world of the Pitras loka (ancestral world). Lord Vishnu in his aspect of Surya, the Sun God, is the King of the Pitras. 64 Generations of dead ancestors can help solve your money, relationship, health and other problems quite easily if one knows how to communicate and connect with them. Even great siddhas like Agastiya, Maha Rishis like Vasistha, Avatars like Krishna and Rama when they lived on the earth plane appreciated their spirit ancestors through rituals called Tarpan (Tarpanam in Sanksrit). Tarpan means giving special offerings to the departed spirits especially during the new moon days. Often the offerings consist of black sesame seeds, cooked rice, and water. Sesame seeds particularly constitute the food of the spirits. During new moon day the departed spirits come to the earth plane and stay with their biological relatives from sunrise to sunset. Fasting during the new moon day will alert your consciousness to be in communion with their spirits. Spiritually speaking there are two reasons for all of our mundane problems. One caused by the planets, the other by departed spirits. We should constantly take care of them in order to have a peaceful life. Once a year there is a great celebration in the Pitra loka for 2 weeks. It is called Mahalaya fortnight. It starts on September 16th, right after the full moon and ends on the Mahalaya new moon day, September 28th.
This two week period is the most important period to appreciate your departed ancestors. Significance of the 13 Days ritual:
The Maha Ancestral ritual spans for 13 days from the 1st Moon till the New Moon and each day is ruled by a Thithi. Everyone should take this opportunity to take part in all the 13 days ritual in order to obtain the blessings of your ancestors.
1st Moon-Bestow Wealth

11th Moon-Prosperity of children and intelligence to children
12th Moon-More progeny and gains through education
13th Moon & 14th Moon-Blessed with many vehicles and renders Peace and longevity Mahalaya New Moon - Those who are not able to do Tarpan on all the above phases of the Moon, should definitely offer tarpan on this day in order to accrue the above said benefits and also will receive benefits by doing Tarpan for those who died due to weapons or accidents. During this day the known and unknown souls that have departed during the last 30 years are treated equal to God
Significance of Donating food and Clothing: The easiest way to access Gods grace is to feed a famished human being starving for food and donate clothes. Donating food is considered to be the greatest charity in all the charities. It is believed that the person who donates food would attain an elevated status. There is an interesting legend highlighting the importance of donating food. In the great epic Mahabaratha, Karna was a great philanthorpist and he never said no to any one who approached him for help. He had donated huge wealth and had done all kinds of charity except for donating food. Once a soul reaches heaven, it is that the soul would not feel hungry. However, when Karnas soul after his death reached heaven, his soul was feeling hungry. He then realized that though he had done all kinds of charities, he did not do feeding or Annadhan. Hence Annadhan is the highest of all the charities. Donating food on Ammavsya is considered to be important as this is considered to be a ritual on this day.

Ganesha's birthday

The Sanskrit word for Ganesha means one who is the Isha (Lord) of the Ganas (Angelic army). He has incredible intelligence and his strategies are matchless. He was created in the mythological time by the mother Goddess from her own body. Not knowing who he was, the Angelic army fought with him and Ganesha killed everyone who came to fight.
Finally Lord Siva himself interfered and beheaded Ganesha. Later, knowing that he was the son of the Mother Goddess who is his own wife, Siva revived Ganesha. He placed an elephant head on Ganesha's body and made him the Lord of his Divine army.
This Ganesha's birthday is today (03 Sept ' 08) while the moon transits the sign Virgo signifying the sixth house of zodiac. The sixth house signifies the wealth derived from service, profession, business and the status of operations in an organisation. Moreover the planet Ketu, whose overlord is Lord Ganesha is placed in the 11th house to virgo signifying total gains and ultimate blessings to the rituals done.
This rare cosmic imprint occurring during Ganesh Chaturthi will help you to realize all material dreams. The star on the day is Chitra which is the second star to Ganesha's birthstar Hastha, indicating absolute blessings for all wealth creation. Removing obstacles in all areas of life. It is important to enlist his help whether you start a business or going to the court or signing a contract, etc. He removes malefic effects from planets including Saturn. He is a great strategic planner. He finds lost things. Ganesha reveals himself in multiple forms: a warrior, a charmer, wealth giver, obstacle remover. He chose specific vortexes of energy and time periods in which to perform his multiple functions. Dattatreya Siva Baba has identified some of these special temple vortexes for worship during Ganesha's birthday.
Of all the temple vortexes for Ganesha, "Sithalaipathi" is one that defines itself as the rarest. The Ganesha at this place is seen with a human head, prior to Lord Siva's decapitation. It is believed that the worshipping of this Ganesha strengthens relationships by removing all obstacles. Strengthening your relationships with others: your family, children, friends, spouse, ultimately defines your success and sense of belonging.
