The Sun Enters Capricorn/Vedic Winter Solstice
Welcome the longer days of sunlight! Soon it won't be dark in those morning hours going to work or off to school. January 15th marks the Vedic Winter Solstice or rather the time of year when the Sun shifts into the constellation of Capricorn as it starts its journey northward.
'Margazhi' month (December/January) or Twilight Time in Heaven, gives in to the month of 'Thai' (January/February) or Dawn of Time in Heaven that is known to signal the end of darkness and the return of ever increasing daylight.
This is harvest time in South India known as Pongal. The energy starts shifting on the 14th through the 17th. All of these days have tremendous prosperity energy. Indra, the king of heaven, rejoices during this time of abundance, fun, and luxury and happiness.
