Did You know - The Moon Affects The Body

The ocean waves are a result of the moon’s influence, and astrologers believe that the moon influences the body’s “waves” in much the same way. The body, much like the ocean, is made mostly of water. When you hear someone say they’re acting funny because it’s a full moon, there might actually be some science behind it.
There is even documented proof that more assaults occur around a full moon, giving strong support to the theory the moon affects human behavior.
The frequencies emanating from the Moon affect the frequencies of the mental body, i.e. mind of human beings. By ‘mind’ we mean our feelings, emotions and desires. The mind consists of the conscious mind and the sub-conscious mind. Within the sub-conscious mind we have a number of impressions that are embedded that decide our basic nature and personality.

When the moon is full or new, the gravitational pull of the moon and sun are combined. The moon exerts a pull on the Earth on other days too, but it is not as powerful as on the days of full moon and new moon.
Suppose we were to take in a deep breath, the air sucked into our mouth is three times as much as a normal breath. Now let’s translate this analogy to the Moon and its pull on the Earth. During full moon and new moon days the whole Moon is pulling Earth and the effect is as if in the earlier analogy the Moon is taking a deep breath. We find that the circular atmosphere of three times the size of the moon is attracted from the Earth.

In this process at a physical level when water is attracted towards moon, rather than the water, the gaseous elements in water (water vapour) come above water and enter the subtle high-pressure belt. Since negative energies are predominantly in gaseous form they get pulled into the subtle high-pressure belt. Here they group together and get added strength in numbers from each other. They therefore attack humanity to a larger extent on these days.

Full Moon February 2015

The full moon is on 3 February 2015. There are aspects galore to this full moon, making it very powerful and intense. Leo will obviously feel the full force of the February 2015 full moon. However, the scattering of planets of other signs means that Aries, Libra, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces also have planets, which are directly impacted by the full moon.
Like all full moons, the influence of this moon phase will last for two weeks, up until the February 18 new moon. Because of the many planets and aspect patterns involves, there are many themes of importance and many areas of life to be affected. As the moon rules the public, women, emotions and instinctive reactions, the major theme will be reacting or rebelling to release a buildup of anger and frustration. Much of this anger will be due to how we see governments, corporations and religions negatively impacting on our lives and our health.

Planetary movement on Guru Purnima - July 3rd 2012

Guru is given a higher position then God, because of his qualities and qualification. Guru is called Brahma. Teacher gives a new birth to his students. Guru is true Mahadev because he forgives all flaws done by his disciple.
In India, Guru is given spiritual, religious and political significance. During the times of trouble, teachers have shown a new path to this nation. They don’t just a teacher but, they tell a person that how to come out from any kind of problem and danger.
Guru takes an individual to light from darkness. In simple words, he can be called the mass of knowledge.
Guru in India, is a person, who guides and protects us from all sorts of dangers and sins. Guru introduces us to a vast world of knowledge and dispels our ignorance and enlightens us.

"If God and Guru stand side by side, the first worship should be offered to Guru and then to God. It is because through the Guru we gain the ability to recognize and realize God."-- Kabir, 1440-1518, Indian mystic and poet

On Guru Purnima at home you can:

1) Chant Om Namasivaya out loudly or silently.
2) Pour water and milk over your sacred objects.
3) Clearly write out and ask for what you want (Ask and You Shall Receive)
4) Give to those less fortunate.
The Planets give an excellent diagram of the extraordinary happenings on Guru Purnima.

Jupiter, Ketu, Venus all in Taurus, forming Millionaire Yoga -- could even be called Millionaire without Greed. This is the gift to be free of financial constraints and have time for your personal evolution.
Jupiter influences Mars in Virgo, amplifying Mars Energy. The Overlord of Mars is Lord Muruga from Plaeides Star System. Showing Lord Muruga's presence closer to the Earth.
Mars in turn strongly influences the Moon with his 4th house aspect. Bringing more Goddess power, showing the presence of the 7 Mother Godesses.
This adds up to the Planets in support of the Guru's Grace.

At the time of the New Moon, the Moon rises or sets at the same time as the Sun. At Full Moon, the Moon rises at the same time the Sun sets, and the Moon sets at about the same time the Sun rises.

The Sun is Your Self and The Moon is Your Mind

Astrologically, the Sun is soul, the 'atma', the centre of self. The Moon is the mind, the 'manas' by which we connect to the world and to each other.
The Sun and Moon are luminaries. The Sun is the source of light and the Moon reflects the light of the Sun. The mind reflects the self. It is it's magnetic power that draws the light.

The Phases of the Moon
Moon has two phases the waxing phase and the waning phase. Each of these phases are 15 days in duration. Each Moon Phase carries a specific energy.

2 Important Moons: New Moon and Full Moon:
New Moon- 15th Waning
This is the last Moon, or 15th Moon in the waning cycle when the Moon is showing no reflective light. It is the Dark Moon, or New Moon in Astrology. New Moons are times for introspection and spiritual matters. Durga, Karuppa Swamy and Hanuman are all at their peak power in this phase to do battle against darkness and to bring in the light. It is recommended to honor the New Moon time by seeking the help of these energies to assist you with this ongoing battle of light and dark- positive and negative. It is the time to delve deep into the spiritual.
Full Moon- 15th Waxing
This is the last Moon, or 15th Moon in the waxing cycle when the Moon shows full reflection of the Sun. The Full Moon is an ideal time to create and manifest the material. Goddesses Lakshmi, Saraswati and Parvati are at their peak power during the Full Moon phase to accelerate creation and manifestation.Goddess Lakshmi grants the power to manifest wealth and create joy.Goddess Saraswati gives the power of knowledge and love of music and dance.Goddess Parvati fulfills wordly desires and gives peace.
Other Moon Phases to Note
The Most Energetically Beneficial Times for Specific Intentions

New Moon is the name given to the phase when the Moon is in between the Earth and the Sun, receiving the Sun's full light. From Earth we only see the dark as the illuminated side is towards the Sun. The Sun and Moon are said to be in 'conjunction'.
It is said that the Sun God and the Moon Goddess work aggressively together these days to destroy evil. No evil is tolerated. New Moons are times for introspection and spiritual matters. It is also a good time to begin new assignments and start medical treatments.
Full Moon is the name given when the Moon is opposite to the Sun, or rather when the Earth is between the Sun and the Moon. The Moon receives the Sun's full light only this time from the vantage point of Earth, the Moon appears in full glory.
It is said that the Sun God and the Moon Goddess are cooled down by the shower of the Full Moon rays which are the reflected Sun rays and in turn shower their blessings on Earth in the form of prosperity and joy. The Full Moon is an ideal time to create and manifest the material.

The Chitra Full Moon on May 8.

The Moon represents our moods. The waxing and waning moon signifies the highs and lows that we experience everyday. The full Moon represents completeness and fulfillment. Any prayers on that particular day specifically for money related or material aspects will be granted immediately. While the New Moon represents the stillness and calmness, the Full Moon represents vibrancy and dynamism. You receive maximum support for all your wordly pursuits on the Full Moon day.
Of all the Full Moon days, there is one Full Moon which is considered to be very holy for altering your karmic balance. This is the Chitra Full Moon on May 8.
All the good and bad deeds that we engage in are stored as transactions in the akashic records, which is your divine personal log. Chitra Gupta is the celestial being who is the accountant incharge of presenting these records to Lord Yama, the God of death. So by appeasing Chitra Gupta, your final day of judgment will be less severe.
This is also a day dear to Lord Satyanarayana, the custodian of truth and prosperity. It is very auspicious to perform the Satyanarayana pooja on the Chitra Full Moon day. Lord Satyanarayana is an extremely benevolent form of Lord Vishnu: Satya, means Truth or Dharma, and Narayana as another name for Vishnu. During this pooja people worship Lord Satyanarayana by reciting his story. This story was originally narrated by Lord Vishnu himself to the sage Narada for the benefit of human-kind.
Performing this pooja grants prosperity and abundance in ones life. This pooja is not only performed on Full Moon days, but also at the time of weddings, on other auspicious occasion or even at the time of achievements. Generally it is performed during the evening hours of the Full Moon Day. On the pooja day the devotees of Lord Satyanarayana customarily undergo fasting.
The pooja starts with a prayer to Lord Ganesha, the remover of all obstacles, followed by the pooja for the 9 planets, the Navagrahas. Then the pooja for Lord Satyanarayana begins with the chanting of mantras, offering of a variety of flowers and food offerings. Also during the pooja, the story of the origin of the pooja is read to be heard among all those observing and partaking in it. The story also explains the benefits of performing the pooja.

The Full Moon

What happens at the full Moon?:
The Full Moon is a culmination, a peak, and many people notice a spike in exuberance and activity at this time. The Sun and Moon are in opposite signs, and the qualities of both signs in which they fall are lit up with a current running between them.
What are some ways to engage with the Full Moon?: If you've set intentions on the new Moon, the full Moon is the time for releasing them out to spirit. You might like to meditate on the new Moon intentions as the Moon grows brighter, adding power to them with your focus. The waxing Moon is a building up of energy, and a great time to cultivate something new in your life.
How does this work exactly?:
The key to working with planetary energies is understanding that you're a part of it all, too. As the Sun and Moon move through the signs, a forcefield of energy is cast down, engaging with your own unique astrological blueprint. In other words, "May the force be with you," and may you also Be with the force.
Staying intimately connected to this cosmic dance allows you to tune into subtle shifts and changes. Our intuitive selves experience these through dream images, spirit guidance, and soul yearnings. You go beyond awareness of your known self, so you can experience your spirit self and its possibilities.
What are intentions?: Intentions are like wishes you send out, but you've got to take an active part in making them happen. You can call it a prayer, too. Whether we know it or not, we all have intentions, sometimes unconcious, that shape our experience. When you set intentions consciously, it makes you more present to the moment, able to jump on opportunities, cultivate contacts, and recognize divine serendipity.
Preparing for the full Moon.: Each full Moon has a different intuitive feel, and any ritual you do could draw on the essence of the sign. As it approaches, you might gather photos, found objects, meaningful totems and place them with your intentions in a prominent place.
Time to Celebrate: The full Moon often casts an exuberant vibe, making it a great time to have a party. This also opens the door for meaningful people to step into your life. But keep in mind that it can be intense, too. There's a reason why more patrolmen are sent out on full Moons! Take time to honor yourself in some way for any steps you took since the new Moon.

Something extraordinary is going to happen on 18th July 2008 Full moon

"Grace of God takes the form of the Guru. Guru is God himself"
There are 12 full moons in a year and every one of them is important. On the full moon day, the Siddhas who are enlightened masters, come down to the earth plane to help spiritual aspirants to evolve. Of the twelve full moons, one stands out as very special. It is the Full Moon of the Guru (Gurupurnima) that occurs in the Sanskrit month Ashada (July-August). Gurupurnima is the beginning of the Spiritual New Year.
This year the Full Moon of the Guru falls on July 18th.
The Full Moon of the Guru is the most important Full Moon in the year. Spiritual aspirants wait for this Full Moon to receive the blessings of the guru. Spiritual transmission from the guru to the disciple can happen naturally on the night of the Full Moon. This is the reason why the disciples flock to the guru during Guru Purnima to access the spiritual blessings of our preceptors and spiritual masters who are both living and past.
In yoga the moon is associated with the mind. It is also the belief with the ancient Greeks who associated the Moon with the activities of the mind. The term "lunacy" owes its origin to the Greek concept of the link between the mind and the Moon. Yoga is profound in its understanding of the Moon/mind connection. The Moons position to the earth influences not only the human mind, but also every happening on the surface of the earth. The Moon represents the right brain. Activation of the right brain brings ecstasy. The term "honeymoon" is highly symbolic. According to yoga, honey or nectar, oozes out from the right brain giving the experience of spiritual bliss. This happens primarily during the Full Moon time.
Guru Purnima Offerings :
During Guru Poornima special fire ritual is performed seeking the blessings of the 7 rishis who were the original seers of the Vedas. These rishis are known as the saptarishi, sapta means seven and they are - Athri, Bhrughu, Kutsa, Vasishta, Gautama, Kasyapa, Aangirasa, as per legend they are the mind-borne sons of Brahma the creator.
It is very important to be in the physical presence of the Guru on this day. Getting the Guru's blessings on this day will protect the devotees from all kinds of problems in life. Guru Purnima is also called Vyasa Purnima, i.e., the Full Moon of Vyasa. Vyasa is the one who wrote the Mahabharata and compiled the Vedas. Vyasa was born on this Full Moon Day in the month of Ashada.
