Recovery of Wealth on Akshaya Tritiyai April 24h 2012

April 24th of this year is an astrologically significant and important festival for wealth called Akshaya Tritiyai. It is the 3rd moon in the house of Aries.
Akshaya means "not decreasing". This is a time when you nurture and cultivate the concept of non-declining or non-decreasing wealth.
On this day, if you are able to actively engage in this moment and capture it in your own body mind and soul, it will be very useful to help you gather wealth and keep wealth. Taking the right action at the right time gives you maximum positive results.
The planetary combination on April 24th forms a wheel, which translates to “what was lost will come back to you".
Think of what was lost, 1) loans given and never returned, 2) poor investments, 3) wastage, 4) Money cheated from you, etc. Make sure you get the money back that you are due – the banker in heaven, Kubera has excellent records.
Lakshmi will be giving you the blessings of never decreasing wealth.
Blessings from our ancestors are very important for the protection and success in all activities. Provide your deceased family members with continuous happiness and well-being in the afterlife. Show your respect towards them and reinforce the unity of your family and lineage.

Akshaya means never diminishing. Many things happened  on this day: Draupadi was given Akshaya Patra (bowl) by Krishna which supplied unlimited food; Kubera, treasurer of gods, prayed to Lakshmi, goddess of wealth, to fill his treasury; Parashurama, the sixth incarnation of Vishnu, was born; Satya yuga ended and Treta yuga began; the Ganga descended from Heaven; Ved Vyasa and Ganesha began writing the epic Mahabharata; and Sudama, the poor friend of Krishna, came to Dwarka to ask for help. In return for a handful of beaten rice, Krishna gave immense wealth to Sudama. Gates of the Badrinarayana temple open on this day. Construction of chariots for the Jagannath rath yatra at Puri commences.  Jains observe fast and break it with sugarcane juice as king-turned-monk Rishabhdeva was offered sugarcane juice after an year-long fast. So the belief is that worshipping Lakshmi-Kubera, buying gold and silver ornaments, investing money in shares and real estate, buying household things, ploughing land, writing new account books – will all bring prosperity.

Varalakshmi Pooja

In the Hindu pantheon of Gods and Goddesses, Lakshmi occupies a key position as a giver of wealth and happiness to human beings. One of the most important pooja performed during this month for Goddess Lakshmi is called as Varalakshmi Pooja. Varalakshmi is considered to represent all Lakshmi's and hence offering prayers to her could be very beneficial to you. Generally this day falls on the Friday of the Shukla paksha(Waxing Moon) of Shravana month each year. However this year, Varalakshmi Pooja will be performed on 15th August 2008.
It is believed that the by performing this pooja you are blessed with true wealth which not only includes money but all aspects which enrich human life. Varalakshmi blesses you with monetary benefits(Dhanam), food and grains(Dhanyam), good health(Arokya), wealth and property(Sampath), virtuous offsprings (Santhanam) and long life for your husband (Deerka Sumangali Bakkyam).
It is believed that Goddess Lakshmi emerged from the ocean of milk during this day. As the name Varalakshmi goes by, it is interpreted in two different ways. The first interpretation is that Vara means boon and Varalakshmi means Goddess Lakshmi who grants the boons. The second interpretation is that Goddess Lakshmi is welcomed and received inside the houses with great honor to bless and grant boons.
Legend behind Varalakshmi Pooja:
It is said that Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati played a game of dice. Lord Shiva kept claiming to have won. But Parvati knew otherwise. There arose a dispute between the two with regard to the winner. But she called a Gana, Chitramani to mediate and settle the matter.
Chitramani confirmed that Lord Shiva won the game. Goddess Parvati got angry with the verdict and she accused Chitramani of lying. Lord Shiva knew that Chitramani did not lie but had told the truth. Goddess Parvati was not convinced and she cursed Chitramani, to suffer from leprosy and be born on the earthplane as a lepor.
When Lord Siva convinced Goddess Parvati, she granted him the boon that if Gana, Chitramani was able to participate or perform the Varalakshmi Pooja, he would be cured from leprosy and would be relieved of the curse. Wandering a lot finally Chitramani was able to participate in the Varalakshmi pooja performed by a group of celestial angels. Thus he was cured of his leprosy. Since then the Varalakshmi Pooja has been performed every year.
