Mars Retrograde and Progression 2016

Mars becomes Retrograde On

April 17, 2016 (Sunday)

Mars becomes Progressive On

June 29, 2016 (Wednesday)

Before Mars becomes retrograde it enters into retrograde zone and starts slowing down. Before it becomes stationary and starts moving into backward direction, it keeps moving into forward direction with retarded speed.
Mars remains into stationary motion for some moments before it starts moving backward.
The same is true while Mars becomes progressive i.e. when it starts moving into forward direction. Before Mars becomes progressive it remains into retrograde zone and starts moving into forward direction till it gains full speed.

The retrograde period is inappropriate for activities requiring the normal flow of Mars initiative.
Mars retrograde probably isn’t the best time to begin a new exercise program, either. Again, the underlying meaning is that energy is lacking for external activity, so a program that begins under Mars retrograde may fizzle quickly.
When Mars is retrograde, it depletes the vitality so that it is never a time to initiate. Whoever initiates loses, a new project, a great love, an argument, a lawsuit, or an international war. With a new project, it will fizzle out and never really go anywhere. With a hot romance, it too fizzles and it rarely gets to the alter.
So it really is a very good time to find what it is you want with respect to Mars-related activity, even if waiting a bit.
Matters commenced while Mars is retrograde will be frustrated and plagued with disruptions until they finally fizzle out. At this time, people become irritated when activities do not run smoothly.
Mars-ruled types find themselves more inclined to sit back and review matters in a more detached or impersonal way. They feel more patient to wait on circumstances to unfold before they take action.

Mars Enters Capricorn on Dec 18th

No other planet symbolizes emotions better than Mars.

Planet Mars is considered as a symbol of energy and vitality. Mars fires your emotions and energizes your passions, but also powers your mental endeavours and communicative skills.

Capricorn is the sign that represents action as it is an active earth sign. As this sign is ruled by Saturn, it is career oriented, about leadership, and success in business.

When Mars transits to Capricorn on December 18th, it brings energy and the ability to work long hours in a selfless mood. There is potential for you, for rapid movement towards obtaining material goals and material things especially in Real Estate and career. It is about new beginnings.

So that day is particularly very important for us in order to pick up the Martial energy, in other words, royalty consciousness.

Saturn and Mars together in Libra

Mars and Saturn are in a conjunction (alignment) in the sky – they were at the same degree of Libra on August 15th 2012.  Traditional and Vedic astrology consider both Mars and Saturn to be “malefic” – they are seen as promoting danger (Mars) and generally bad things (Saturn).  So when the two come together, this can be perceived as a dangerous time where generally bad things can happen.

When Saturn and Mars are together in Libra, the sign of relationships with no benefic aspects, this can cause stress to build up, even in good relationships. A little relief will come by the end of September. However we are also experiencing a Kala Sarpa Yoga, where all the planets are between Rahu and Ketu, until early October. This will also cause stress and ripe karmas to manifest.

Mars and Saturn getting together in the same house and in conjunction in August 2012 can cause much concern to the strength and stability of certain astrological signs particularly the ones running their Saturn choti panoti, dhaiyya, sade sati etc

Mars denotes action and will be a go-getter. Saturn is structure and your authority combined with a finality as a result of patience shown. So here we are talking of two “Working” planets- one is brash, the other stable, one is aggressive, the other is stern and contained, one is zippy-zippy zoom, the other is turning the throttle slow.

So Mars-Saturn means that you can create real and lasting accomplishments provided you show up with clarity, precision, timing, stability and most importantly with Saturn being in happy house of Libra, he is going to over rule any childish prank you are up to. Be methodical and the result is sure to flow in.

Take the time to get clear about what you want to put forth, how you want to present it, and the results that you are seeking. Your efforts will be rewarded and as Mercury goes Direct, you may receive new insights and information that will further enhance your creation.

Mars enters Taurus on July 3rd

When Mars is in good position one can become a king / prime minister / president of a country. That person will also have a lot of landed property including multiple homes, apartments and complexes. Mars is a very important planet.

When Mars is weak or badly placed he will create debts of all kinds (credit card, mortgage, medical) as well as diseases. Relationship will also be a problem. There will be constant fighting between partners which will cause loss of money and peace of mind.
Mars enters Taurus on July 3rd and stays there till Aug 16th. Things would slow down significantly for everyone.

Your energies are settling down to a fine rhythm with a firm platform being laid for future plans. Anger and impatience are two devious qualities that could raise their serpentine head time and again during this transit. It is important to guard against anger that could throw you out-of-balance. Special care need to be taken at home when you deal with near and dear.

Watch out for your diet and take it easy at work.
In Vedic astrology Mars is ruled by Muruga also called Subramanya or Karthikeya. Propitiation of Muruga controls the bad results from Mars. Muruga is compassionate being who is constantly involved in the evolution of planet earth. During 2013 he will play a major part in bringing the golden age to our planet. Besides giving worldly boon, Lord Muruga is involved in bestowing enlightenment to humans as well as gods.

Mars - The God of War

Mars, is the ruler of Aries.

In astrology, Mars is the planet of energy, action, and desire. It is the survival instinct, and can be thought of as the "leftover" animal nature of man.
Mars rules our animal instincts for aggression, anger, and survival. Our sexual desires come under the rule of Mars. Mars is most associated with basic body attraction. This is the planet of action rather than reaction. With Mars, there is no contemplation before action. The drive associated with Mars differs from that of the Sun in that it is self-assertion rather than assertion of the will; it is raw energy rather than creative energy.
Mars is the push that gets us out of bed in the morning, our drive and desire nature, and our active energy. When we are "acting out" our Mars, we are assertive, directed, forthright, and adventurous. On the negative side, we can be impulsive, rash, impatient, aggressive, and forceful.

Astrologically Mars is seen as THE EGO in action, the aggressive planet which causes divisions and splits between mankind but is the giver of courage and physical energy.
The risk taker with an idominitable will to succeed. Mars represents drive and masculinity, as well as issues connected with sexuality and power. It indicates the work we choose and the way we approach it. Mars is strongly associated with the experience of brothers, the father and men in general.
