The ocean waves are a result of the moon’s influence, and astrologers believe that the moon influences the body’s “waves” in much the same way. The body, much like the ocean, is made mostly of water. When you hear someone say they’re acting funny because it’s a full moon, there might actually be some science behind it.
There is even documented proof that more assaults occur around a full moon, giving strong support to the theory the moon affects human behavior.
The frequencies emanating from the Moon affect the frequencies of the mental body, i.e. mind of human beings. By ‘mind’ we mean our feelings, emotions and desires. The mind consists of the conscious mind and the sub-conscious mind. Within the sub-conscious mind we have a number of impressions that are embedded that decide our basic nature and personality.

When the moon is full or new, the gravitational pull of the moon and sun are combined. The moon exerts a pull on the Earth on other days too, but it is not as powerful as on the days of full moon and new moon.
Suppose we were to take in a deep breath, the air sucked into our mouth is three times as much as a normal breath. Now let’s translate this analogy to the Moon and its pull on the Earth. During full moon and new moon days the whole Moon is pulling Earth and the effect is as if in the earlier analogy the Moon is taking a deep breath. We find that the circular atmosphere of three times the size of the moon is attracted from the Earth.

In this process at a physical level when water is attracted towards moon, rather than the water, the gaseous elements in water (water vapour) come above water and enter the subtle high-pressure belt. Since negative energies are predominantly in gaseous form they get pulled into the subtle high-pressure belt. Here they group together and get added strength in numbers from each other. They therefore attack humanity to a larger extent on these days.

Meditation and Prayers on 12-12-12

The Moon, that is, The Lunar Cycle and the Mind are co-related. The mind principle can be traced with the Moon. 

In other words, the Moon influences the Mind. 

During the New Moon, the mind has a potential possibility to annihilate itself, meaning that you can experience a non-mind consciousness, particularly during the New Moon of the Mini Shivaratri night. Mini Shivaratri is the night of the Shiva, and it happens on the New Moon on Dec 12th. During that time, you can transcend your mind and these happen regularly during every New Moon. But then the night of the Shiva is a special New Moon so we observe prayers, expecting a state of being or existence above and beyond the limits of material experience. while you are meditating.

We have another opportunity, a great opportunity that happens on 12.12.12 which is a very important time. 

There are 12 Chakras and the 12th Chakra is the God Chakra, right above the 11th Chakra that’s above the skull. 

 This 12.12.12 is a very important combination and more important because it falls on the New Moon time. So you can transcend your mind during that time get into a different type of consciousness.

New Moon in Leo - 30th July 2011

The month of July began with a new moon; and now, as we close out the month, we herald a second July new moon. On July 1st, we had the New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Cancer which also happened to the third consecutive eclipse, having had two eclipses in June; now, on July 30th, we have the New Moon in Leo. New Moons signify rebirth, beginnings, a clean slate, the start of a new cycle. This new moon highlights Leo qualities (willful, charismatic, courageous, prideful, confident) and 5th house themes (love, pleasure, creative projects, children).

Leo is natively ruled by the Sun, the largest body in our solar system and the object that other celestial bodies orbit around. It's only appropriate that Leo loves attention :) This Leo-New Moon phase is an ideal period to initiate, create, renew. Express your true and whole self.

In the great epic Mahabaratha, Karna was a great philanthorpist and he never said no to any one who approached him for help. He had donated huge wealth and had done all kinds of charity except for donating food. Once a soul reaches heaven, it is that the soul would not feel hungry. However, when Karnas soul after his death reached heaven, his soul was feeling hungry. He then realized that though he had done all kinds of charities, he did not do feeding or Annadhan. Hence Annadhan is the highest of all the charities. Donating food on Ammavsya is considered to be important as this is considered to be a ritual on this day.
