Did You know - The Moon Affects The Body

The ocean waves are a result of the moon’s influence, and astrologers believe that the moon influences the body’s “waves” in much the same way. The body, much like the ocean, is made mostly of water. When you hear someone say they’re acting funny because it’s a full moon, there might actually be some science behind it.
There is even documented proof that more assaults occur around a full moon, giving strong support to the theory the moon affects human behavior.
The frequencies emanating from the Moon affect the frequencies of the mental body, i.e. mind of human beings. By ‘mind’ we mean our feelings, emotions and desires. The mind consists of the conscious mind and the sub-conscious mind. Within the sub-conscious mind we have a number of impressions that are embedded that decide our basic nature and personality.

When the moon is full or new, the gravitational pull of the moon and sun are combined. The moon exerts a pull on the Earth on other days too, but it is not as powerful as on the days of full moon and new moon.
Suppose we were to take in a deep breath, the air sucked into our mouth is three times as much as a normal breath. Now let’s translate this analogy to the Moon and its pull on the Earth. During full moon and new moon days the whole Moon is pulling Earth and the effect is as if in the earlier analogy the Moon is taking a deep breath. We find that the circular atmosphere of three times the size of the moon is attracted from the Earth.

In this process at a physical level when water is attracted towards moon, rather than the water, the gaseous elements in water (water vapour) come above water and enter the subtle high-pressure belt. Since negative energies are predominantly in gaseous form they get pulled into the subtle high-pressure belt. Here they group together and get added strength in numbers from each other. They therefore attack humanity to a larger extent on these days.

Difference Between Sun Signs And Moon Signs

You may be familiar with your 'Sun Sign', but what is a 'Moon Sign'? The Moon is said to rule your personality, while the Sun rules your individuality, while the Ascendant Sun dictates our outer appearance and mannerisms.
Your Moon Sign is determined by the date of your birth.
A majority of people think about sun signs when they hear the term -zodiac sign. But not all people know that both of these are not one and the same. Sun sign of a person is the particular zodiac sign corresponding to the position of the sun on the date of birth of that person.
There are over 40 zodiac signs; but there are only 12 sun signs. On the other hand, moon sign of a person corresponds to the zodiac sign related to the position of the moon at the time of birth of the person. This definition is based on the principles of Western astrology. But the principles of some other forms of astrology, for example, the Indian system of astrology, depend on the position of moon as well as that of planets on the exact second a person is born, for predicting the future of the person.
In the Western system of astrology, the same set of Zodiac symbols is used for representing both sun signs and moon signs.
We have 12 sun signs, under which people who were born on a 30-day period are put together. These signs are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. Each sun sign has a particular, pre-defined set of personal traits and character.
A majority of the character traits those are associated with sun signs, deal with ego, creativity, and romantic and sexual preferences. As a result, the astrology of sun signs became extremely popular with people, especially those looking for relationship compatibility.

Moon signs have the same set of zodiac signs. A person may have the sun sign of Libra and the moon sign of Aquarius. Moon sign specifies the position of the moon with respect to the position of the earth at the time of birth of a person.
The main difference here is that unlike the sun signs, which correspond to position of the sun on the date of birth, moon signs are determined based on the exact time of birth. As a result, one cannot calculate the moon sign easily. You need to consult a qualified astrologer or an astrology software package for finding out the moon sign.
There is a specific set of pre-defined character sets and behavioral aspects for each moon sign also. It is common that people may find a particular set of moon sign predictions matching their general character and personality more than what is predicted using sun signs.

Importance of the Moon

The Moon is seen as THE SOUL, the link between the Spirit of the Sun and Matter (The Earth). It absorbs the light and heat from the Sun and gives it creative form. It governs the subconscious, the emotions and the behavioural instincts, it reflects the power of the inner life and indicates how you deal with and portray yourself to others.
The Moon represents instinct and habit, feeling, memory and imagination. It is the PERSONALITY through which the INDIVIDUALITY of the Sun expresses itself. Its symbol, the crescent of reception, represents the Moon as a lens focussing the rays of the sun. This is the planet of the home, domestic life, the family - especially babies and children, the "Mother" and other females in your life.
How the Moon will manifest its energy, the nature of the Soul and its spiritual development, depends on the horoscope as a whole. The Sign (and its Element), the House in which if falls, and the Aspects to the other planets will all have a bearing on any interpretation.
The Moon represents our emotions and the need for security. It represents our early environment and particularly the way we experienced the mother. It shows our ability to be sensitive to the environment and to both give and receive emotion.
The Moon is related to instincts, and is profoundly connected to the personal unconscious, and all the habitual behaviour that is looked after by this mysterious part of ourselves. The Moon shows how we instinctively react to protect ourselves and others.
The Moon goes through all 12 Signs in a month. The Moon sign's influence is at least as powerful as the Sun.
The House the Moon is in shows the particular area in our life which we allocate to increasing our feelings of security. However it is also this area where we experience the greatest growth and show the greatest concern for others.
