Lord Hanuman or Anjaneya - a symbol of strength.

As the year 2008 is ending we can go back on this year to briefly examine the undesirable happenings in your life such as arguments, Jealousy, anger and depression related to unfulfilled longings. Some year-end karma clearing, curse removal rituals can be performed to bring to a close 2008 and not let the past continue into 2009.
There is no better day to do this than the New Moon Day in the star of Moola that occurs on December 27th, 2008. This day is Lord Hanuman’s birthday. Lord Hanuman or Anjaneya is the eleventh Rudra or the divine incarnation of Shiva. Lord Hanuman is a symbol of strength and resolve. He is ever present in this earth plane and is often referred to as 'Chiranjeevi' or 'the immortal one'.
In India he is considered to be a guardian deity. He is a true epitome of devotion and dedication. It is said that Lord Hanuman makes his presence felt wherever the name of Ram is chanted or Lord Ram's stories recited. Prayers to Hanuman are incredibly powerful and bring desired results quickly. Lord Hanuman has the power to change your destiny and remove karma. His birthday represents one of the most powerful days to get his blessings and bring positive results to your life. It is said that if one constantly prays to Hanuman, he gets blessed with incredible intelligence, strength, name & fame, courage, good health, longevity, skilful speech and elimination of laziness. The birthday of Lord Hanuman, falls on the New Moon day of December 27th with ruling star Moola.
Those who surrender at his powerful feet will never be put to trouble by any of the nine planets. It is said that even Lord Saturn fears to influence Lord Hanuman and his devotees. Such is his power that he holds Saturn with his tail. Lord Hanuman is considered the greatest of greatest heroes and also the servant of servants. There is a special form of Hanuman name 'Havi Mukteswara Anjaneya'. He has five faces and also called as 'Pancha Muga Anjaneya'. Lord Hanuman in this form has the power to deliver the benefic effects of ancestor rituals directly to 'pitru lokha' where our ancestors are supposed to reside.
So performing ancestor rituals on Lord Hanuman's birthday is auspicious and very effective. Furthermore as this happens to be a New Moon day you get incredible blessings from your ancestors. Betel leaves is very dear to Lord Hanuman. It is said Betel leaves represent Lord Shiva and Shakti themselves and offering this to Lord Hanuman pleases him so much. Offering butter, Senduram (a orange color holy powder) and Tulsi leaves is very auspicious as well. As Lord Hanuman was a great devotee of Lord Ram, writing mantras which invoke Lord Ram is incredibly powerful. One such powerful mantra is:
'SRI RAMA JAYAM'
Write this mantra 10,008 times for Hanuman's Blessing.
What makes this Hanuman birthday special is that it falls on a Saturday, a day special for Saturn. So offering prayers to Lord Hanuman indirectly gets the blessings of Lord Saturn himself.
