Mercury Retrograde, Nov 2012 and 2 Eclipses

Mercury's retrograde is November 6th to November 26th.
The purpose of Mercury retrograde is to review and revise our life and our connection with reality. When Mercury retrogrades, we find that many parts of our life are being revised. Often these revisions can be a surprise or throw us back a step. However, these revisions which occur during a Mercury retrograde, are a "course correction" and provide a stop gap measure until we can review situations. The best mode to be in during a Mercury retrograde is one of "non-reaction", and with earth signs being impacted, physical environment will be changing continually during a Mercury retrograde.
There can be purging, venting, raging -- a volcano of emotion that's been capped is opened. Be cautious about making decisions, if you experience a personal meltdown. Along with it being Mercury retrograde, the emotional force that's unleashed can lead to acting from peak intensity. I'm sure you've experienced that sense of being blinded by rage. It's wise to give yourself time to deal with (transform) and integrate all that's rising.
This retrograde invites us to recover any lost parts of who we are. You might get synchronised in the form of reminders of something that has a strong emotional punch or pull. It's powerful to hold something with healing awareness, that's been a source of pain or self-judgement.
In general, a Mercury Retrograde turns our minds and our thoughts to the past. Mercury is the ruler of the mind, communication, transportation, short trips, and neighbours. Often when Mercury is at his stations (the point of changing directions either backward or forward) things are most difficult. Expect travel delays and detours. Mercury’s retrograde is not a good time to start a new job or relationship.
The November Mercury retrograde gives our goals as aspirations a deeper perspective through Scorpio being activated during this process. The Scorpio aspect of inner depth as shown by our inner connection to the higher awareness, will revise our directions, goals and sense of purpose. Issues of transparency showing the Scorpio inner aspects of motives, ethics, values and intentions become the major area of focus during this time
On November 13th we’re going to have a total Solar Eclipse in the passionate sign of Scorpio. This could bring total transformation for some of us.
Then we’ll encounter a Lunar Eclipse on November 28th in Gemini, the sign of duplicity. Some of may jump to conclusions and make a decision they will regret.

Sani Pradosham of 2012 is on 27th Oct.

October 2012 is a very different month. This October-November a "Perverse Yet Fortunate" positioning of planets is taking place.
A strange combination in Libra, the Sun gets debilitated and Saturn is exalted. That's why it is called perverse, but very very powerful because of the relationship between the Sun and Saturn.
This debilitated Sun and the exalted Saturn are going to create unexpected turn of events in your life especially for those of you born under Sun or Saturn. Still you don't know if it will help or harm as it does not follow the normal rules.
You can benefit during this special time frame by accessing the energy of specific Sun-Saturn vortexes. We highly recommend that people who are strongly influenced by Sun or Saturn should take advantage of this one month period when the two planets are together in Libra (Oct.17th - Nov.16th). This astrological event affects the area(s) of your life ruled by Saturn and Sun, so everyone will be affected to some degree.
The Moon controls your physical, psychological, and material fortune, as it controls the Mind. The 13th Moon provides you with the opportunity to dissolve your bad karma (obsessive and repeating negative thoughts) by connecting to the archetype of Shiva.
Every 13th Moon is called Pradosham, however a 13th Moon that falls on a Saturday is special, and is called Sani Pradosham, when the planet Saturn is giving liberation for Saturn karmas. Sani Pradosham is a the time to ask Shiva to remove stubborn lifelong karma. Take advantage of the very Last Sani Pradosham of 2012 which is on 27th Oct.

Navratri - Durga Puja

Durga, in Sanskrit means "She who is incomprehensible or difficult to reach." Goddess Durga
is a form of Sakti worshiped for her gracious as well as terrifying aspect. Mother of the

Universe, she represents the infinite power of the universe and is a symbol of a female

dynamism.

She is also called by many other names, such as Parvati, Ambika, and Kali. In the form of

Parvati, She is known as the divine spouse of Lord Shiva and is the mother of Her two sons,

Ganesha and Karttikeya, and daughter Jyoti. Destroyer of demons, she is worshiped during an

annual festival called Durga puja.

Performing Durga Puja at least once in a year will give prosperity, health ,wealth and peace of

mind to the individual who is performing it.

Durga Puja is done specially during the Navratras

Navratra literally means '9 nights'. These days are astrologically very powerful for Spiritual

upliftment. During these days and nights, prayers are offered to 'Mother' who is the

Manifestation of the Absolute Energy that pervades the Universe. As 'Durga' sitting on a Lion,

she is a Manifestation of 'Shakti' or the Primordial Energy. The Power to breathe, walk, digest

etc, comes from Ma Durga.

Durga Puja bestows wealth and property and protects the person from all sorts of dangers.

Durga is the Overlord of Rahu. Her energy counteracts and destroys Rahu negative influence.

Each day is the symbol of different Goddess. Therefore, the worship should be done considering all the Deities at their significant day. The worship of first day of the Navratri must include Kalash Sthapna and installation of clay pot in which the Jaw is nurtured for 9 days. Strict fast and avoidance of liquor, non vegetarian food, onion and even garlic must be maintained for the next 9 days. The deities who are worshipped during Navratri or Durga Pooja are:
  1. Devi Shailputri
  2. Devi Brahmacharinii
  3. Devi Chandraghanta
  4. Devi Kushmanda
  5. Skanda Mata

Mars, Jupiter, & Saturn in October 2012

This October 2012 will have the High Energy and Motivation of Mars, the Intensity of Jupiter, and the stability of Saturn. The changes you initiate this month (sooner is better) will have lasting impact.
Mars gives you the courage to face tough issues, and Mars is strong in Scorpio and will only become stronger, however be careful, the intense Mars/Rahu combination increases the chance for accidents.

Jupiter provides the wisdom to solve tough issues and to not repeat the mistakes of the past. Jupiter is retrograde until end of January 2013. This intensifies Jupiter's energy and allows you to review your life with wisdom and fix what needs fixing, be it bad finances, bad health habits, and bad relationships.
This is not a time to be in denial, use the energy that is available to make things happen. The intensity of both Mars & Jupiter will make October ative and mtivated.
Jupiter, the primary money planet, moves retrograde into Taurus on October 5th.
Jupiter is a planet of fortune and expansion. He governs finance, children, prosperity, harmony, honor, truth, honesty, spirituality, auspiciousness. While in retro motion (apparent backward motion), Jupiter would reverse its influence on the above mentioned areas.
Jupiter retrograde is a good time to review what you have now and introspect on the real progress that you have made in life. The energies of this retrograde supports educational pursuits and helps to realize unfinished academic aspirations. This is also a time when your inner awareness is at its highest and you can make progress to a refined level of understanding of yourself and your relationship with this Universe.

Jupiter is considered the king of planets and as such the ill effects of other planets are controlled automatically, when Jupiter is powerful.
The Moon signs that have general favorable results during this retrograde motion of Jupiter are:
Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius and Pisces.
